You can now customize your Moto X with Moto Maker on all four major U.S. carriers

Well it doesn�t always follow the rumor, but this time it did. It was expected that today would be the day the Moto Maker would become available on Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless. Well actually T-Mobile was rumored for last Friday, but we will let that slide. Motorola just announced that �The Gift of Choice� is officially available on all carriers. Previously it was only available on AT&T.

Motorola also announced that you can now choose a custom phrase for the back of your Moto X. This was something that was supposed to be implemented when the phone launched, but they weren�t happy with the quality. Apparently the fiber laser technology has been corrected. Last but not least, the price is $99 ($499 off contract) on all four carriers to celebrate. This price has already been available for most of the carriers, but Moto X is saying it will be for a limited time.

Well it doesn’t always follow the rumor, but this time it did. It was expected that today would be the day the Moto Maker would become available on Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless. Well actually T-Mobile was rumored for last Friday, but we will let that slide. Motorola just announced that “The Gift of Choice” is officially available on all carriers. Building the perfect Nexus phone

For the Android faithful, the latest Nexus device is considered to be the gold standard for devices. The Nexus features the latest and greatest specs and an Android build straight from Google with none of the standard software bloat that typically accompanies OEM branded phones and tablets. But the appeal of a Nexus phone many times outshines what Google and its partner OEMs are able to deliver.

The recently released Nexus 5 is an impressive piece of hardware when you look at each individual component, but the device itself is understated, featuring a washed out display and a mediocre camera. The good news is that we�re not here to focus on the Nexus 5's flaws � we want to know what the perfect Nexus phone would look like if its processor, storage, display, design, manufacturer, camera and price were all selected by the Android and Me community.

Check back over the next few weeks for new polls focusing on one specific feature of the perfect Nexus phone. Once we have all the data, we�ll pull it all together to give you a look at what an Android and Me spec�d Nexus phone would offer.

Have you noticed that sometimes your Nexus 5 reverts to the old Ice Cream Sandwich-style pop-up for voice dictation in some apps, as opposed to the less disruptive "endless dictation" on-the-keyboard style? You're not alone. Our fearless leader Artem found that his N5's microphone icon was missing from the default keyboard, and using contextual mic icons (in search boxes and other places) caused the aforesaid behavior. It was also messing with third-party keyboards like SwiftKey.

That sound advice might not actually be true, but it seems to have a pertinent application for the latest versions of the Hangouts app on Android. Reddit user Recon2012 found an app-killing bug within Hangouts relating to the new emoji functionality in the Android keyboard.

Samsung has a penchant for over the top marketing campaigns, but this latest one is probably one of the zaniest yet.

Here�s the premise: soccer stars including German legend Franz Beckenbauer and Argentinian demigod Leo Messi will have to fight off a bunch of mean-looking aliens hell bent to take over our planet. Luckily (we think), the extraterrestrial bullies have agreed to an all-or-nothing soccer match against Earth�s finest, that will decide our collective fates.

Back to earth for a second, the campaign is dubbed Galaxy 11, and has just kicked off in earnest. So far, Samsung teased it with crop circles-style markings in London, New York, and Rio de Janeiro, and the presence of �aliens� at a few high-profile European matches. Beckenbauer will play the coach and Leo Messi (who�s no stranger of Samsung ads) will be the Galaxy 11�s captain. More big players will probably fill out the team�s roster in the following weeks.

You may ask, what do aliens, soccer, and Samsung have in common? Well, obviously, the Galaxy 11 will use Samsung�s Note 3, Galaxy Gear, and Note 10.1 to stave off the attacks of galactic invaders, in an Ender�s Game with balls kind of mash up. New Android apps worth downloading: Splitwise, Star Wars: Tiny Death Star, Tank Battles

After the high profile Moto X, Motorola is gearing up to launch a new device, and this time it�s all about the booming entry-level market. The Google-owned company will launch the Moto G tomorrow, at an event in Sao Paolo that will livestream on Google Plus.

The device�s mid-range specifications and attractive price have apparently been confirmed by a listing on Amazon UK, which pegs the actual availability of the Moto G, for Wednesday, November 14.

The listing refers to the device as the Motorola DVX, the internal codename of the Moto G, and was put up by Amazon, rather than a third-party seller. If the listing is accurate, the Moto G will sell for a very appealing �159.99, the equivalent of $256. Since UK and European prices are generally higher than those across the pond, it�s safe to assume that the Moto G will sell for $200 if it ever becomes available in the US.

The Amazon Moto G listing states that the device is due for selling on November 14, just a day after its official unveiling. Looking at the details provided by Amazon, one thing that sticks out is the �Advanced Android with guaranteed upgrade� spec, potentially alluding to stock Android.
